About Me

Every artwork tells a story.

I'm Jayne Sarsfield, a Perth-based artist creating detailed artworks that celebrate memory, imagination, and the connections that make us who we are. Working in coloured pencil, graphite, watercolour, oils, and mixed media, I create pieces that invite people to pause, look closer, and discover the story within.

 

My work centres around three collections.

• Portraits capture the personality and spirit of the people and pets we treasure most, creating timeless artworks that preserve life's special moments.

• Our Place celebrates Australian streetscapes, historic buildings, and coastal scenes, capturing the nostalgia and emotional connection we have with the places that feel like home.

• Aetherbound Court is my original steampunk fantasy world where remarkable animals become inventors, explorers, scholars, and guardians in an Edwardian-inspired universe of steam, magic, and adventure. Every character is part of a much larger story that continues to grow through new artworks and future projects.

Whether I'm creating a personalised commission, painting a familiar place, or introducing a new resident of Aetherbound Court, my goal is always the same—to create artwork that evokes emotion, preserves memories, and inspires imagination.
