There are a variety of corellas and other flocking cockatoos that are native to Australia, but not all of these naturally occur in Western Australia. The western corella Cacatua pastinator is one of the species endemic to WA, and is made up of two subspecies: Muir’s corella Cacatua pastinator pastinator and Butler’s corella Cacatua pastinator butleri.
